Bumrah won the man of the match award in the IPL Final 2019 due to his incredible death bowling where he choked the runs there and eventually made up for the runs given away by Malinga and Krunal in their respective overs!

Malinga won people’s hearts in the final over as he bowled some fantastic Yorkers and in the last ball even got the wicket of Shardul Thakur when CSK required just 2 runs of 1 ball.

But we all forgot one man’s performance!!
He played a blistering inning at the end for MI when they we struggling to even get to 130, Kieron Pollard scored 41 of just 25 balls to take them to a respectable 149 in an IPL Final.

Kieron Pollard’s record in IPL Finals against CSK:

2010 vs CSK – 27(10) – 4 overs
2013 vs CSK – 60(32) – 4 overs
2015 vs CSK – 36(17)
2019 vs CSK – 41(25)

If you ask me, he has won three IPL Finals for MI on the base of batting, especially 2013&2019 where he was the only batsman who for going from MI!!

When everyone said Kieron Pollard is an emotional pick of MI and Ben Cutting should be playing in place of him.

But Pollard proved his worth when it was required the most and eventually took MI to a respective total from where the bowlers had something to bowl at.

What would have Bumrah and Malinga done if Pollard wouldn’t have scored those magical 41(25)?
