India is one of the most balanced sides going around in the world cup 2019 and one of the strongest contenders for the World Cup.

Strengths:
1. Top Order Batting:
It has been India’s strongest point since 2013, when Rohit & Shikhar started to open the batting for India and ever since that, with them and Virat Kohli, have been able to post massive totals and chase down whatever the opposition has posted!

A lot would depend on these players come world cup 2019.

2. Potent Bowling Unit:
India’s bowling was always a concern in big tournaments and away series but not anymore. Yes! India’s bowling attack is packed with lots of variety and covers almost all the departments.

India has the No.1 ODI bowler in the world, Jasprit Bumrah supported by Md. Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. With these type of bowling options available for Captain Kohli, it will be easier for India to defend small totals.

3. Mahendra Singh Dhoni:
Yes, he is a strength and not a weakness.
His presence in the side is like gold dust for the other players around. His experience and partnership with Virat Kohli in difficult situations for the Indian Team will be very important.

If Dhoni has a good world cup, India will be on their merry way to lift the world cup 2019 trophy!

Weaknesses:
1. The No.4 Slot:
Yes, we all have had our own opinions on who should be playing at No.4 and finally, it has been confirmed that Vijay Shankar will play at that position, although India still has an option of KL Rahul if things go wrong.

We still don’t know if any of these two players can come in at 10-2 in a world cup match and stir the team to a winning position from here. Ambati Rayudu did it for India on a few occasions but we don’t know if Shankar will be able to do it or not.

2. No Backup 4th Seamer:
This is not a huge setback but considering that the world cup 2019 is being played in England, India lacks a 4th seamer who could have come handy if one of the three gets injured(hope they don’t).

Khaleel Ahmed and Navdeep Saini are in Standbys for India’s World Cup Team and if something happens, we may see one of these two coming into the side for this long tournament.

Team’s X-FACTOR?
I think it would be Jasprit Bumrah!!
We should expect teams scoring huge totals in this tournament and in these flat pitches, the team with a better bowling line-up will win more matches.

So I think if Bumrah has a great tournament, India will also have a great tournament and even lift the world cup 2019 trophy!!

Expected Playing XI:
1. Rohit Sharma
2. Shikhar Dhawan
3. Virat Kohli
4. Vijay Shankar ( Although I want KL Rahul to play at No.4 )
5. M.S.Dhoni
6. Kedar Jadhav
7. Hardik Pandya
8. Yuzi Chahal
9. Kuldeep Yadav
10. Md.Shami
11. Jasprit Bumrah

Bench:
12. Dinesh Karthik
13. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
14. Ravindra Jadeja
15. KL Rahul

Fixtures:

05/06- vs South Africa @Southampton

09/06- vs Australia @London

13/06- vs New Zealand @Nottingham

16/06- vs Pakistan @Manchester

22/06- vs Afghanistan @Southampton

27/06- vs West Indies @Manchester

30/06- vs England @Birmingham

02/07- vs Bangladesh @Birmingham

06/07- vs Sri Lanka @Leeds

Where will they finish?

I think India will surely make the semi-finals of world cup 2019. India is one of the strongest contenders for the world cup 2019 and there is a strong chance that we may even see India lifting the world cup for a record third time!!

Interesting Fact: India has lost only two games in the last two world cups!
