At the start of the year 2019, if anyone would have said that the Australian cricket team is a strong contender for the World Cup 2019, I would have laughed really hard!! But now just one week before the world cup begins, they are one of the most settled sides in the tournament with all the bases covered!!
1. Superb Pace-Attack:
Where India has picked only three fast bowlers in the side, Australia has gone on to pick five fast bowlers in the side!!
Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jhye Richardson and Kane Richardson. They have plenty of options in the pace bowling side of things.
2. Inclusion of David Warner & Steve Smith:
This is the biggest plus for the Australian side currently for World cup 2019. They won two massive series when they came to Asia to face India & Pakistan in two bilateral series.
The young Australian team played some great cricket and defeated both the sides, even without Smith & Warner. And now with their inclusion, the team is looking stronger than ever and now one of the favorites for the World cup 2019.
Australian Cricket Team is very settled and hardly have any weaknesses to point out.
But it’s world cup 2019 and if I were to find a weakness in the side, it would be their spin attack. Yes, they have Adam Zampa and Nathan Lyon but are the best spinners going around in the world cup? I don’t think so.
They are good spinners but not the best for sure and if I had to point out a weakness or hole in the side, this is it!
There are many match winners in the side but only one X-Factor!! That’s David Warner!!
After his return, he has been unstoppable. He won the orange cap in the IPL 2019 quite convincingly and looked in incredible touch. This is a huge positive for Australia as the intent of their cricket will change when this guy will bat at the top of the order for Australia in world cup 2019.

Where will Australia Finish in world cup 2019?
Australia with the inclusion of Smith and Warner look really strong and adding to that, their seam bowling line-up. Everything just looks sorted for them currently and we can definitely expect Australia to reach the semi-finals of world cup 2019.
